Therapeutic programming
Therapeutic programming means that treatment objectives such as ‘decrease pain’
or ‘improve trophic condition’ are selected rather than abstract variables like ‘frequency’, ‘spectrum’ or ‘pulse width’.

If, for example, you select ‘decrease pain’
the G.T.S. will want to know, from you, the intensity of the pain (the VAS score). The corresponding form of therapy and parameters will be automatically displayed on the screen of the Guidance.

A G.T.S.-enabled device mirrors, step by step, your pattern of therapeutic thought and relieves you of the task of having to preset the technical parameters
manually (self-adjustment is, of course, always an option). This means that you can give more attention to your patient.

‘Evidence-based’ therapy
Scientific publications, therapeutic guidelines and protocols are held in the system’s database. New features can be added in the form of new software.

After presetting your treatment objective, the system automatically selects the therapy form and the best parameters. The G.T.S., by itself, finds a connection
between the therapeutic objective and the scientific evidence. If that evidence doesn’t exist, an experimental therapeutic recommendation is made in the form of ‘The Guideline’ which is supplied with the device. The therapist receives an extensive literature list.

HELP and information screens
The G.T.S. is composed of handy HELP and information screens.The different types of electrotherapeutic current are explained, the effects of the various parameters shown and reasons given for the suggested types of therapy.

You can even call up details of the optimal electrode placement or the ultrasound heads. All the information is shown on an LCD screen. With the G.T.S., you have an ‘built-in reference book’ at your fingertips!
