The Akron Echocardiography Couch has been developed in collaboration
with leading clinicians and reflects a number of special features,
providing ideal positioning for all aspects of cardiovascular
scanning.
With the patient positioned laterally, the left sided 'cut-out'
on the backrest enhances access and clearance for the transducer
during 'four chamber' scanning.
The combination of the extended 'asymmetric' mid-section, clinician's
footrest, and right side 'cut-out' on the backrest provides comfortable
and ergonomically improved seating for the clinician. The Couch
has three electric motors controlling height, backrest and tilting
angle, ensuring a smooth transition into a variety of scanning
positions. A handgrip is fitted for positioning the patient and
a fully adjustable armrest is provided for the benefit of the
clinician.
